Diabetes on a plate
Another large-scale study following over 340,000 people from eight European countries produced very interesting results. It showed that the more meat you eat the more you’re likely to develop type 2 diabetes. The study results also discovered that in men, this association exists not only for total meat intake but also for red and processed meat consumption. The results were the same for women but one more food group was showing the association – poultry. Meat consumption has been linked to diabetes before – read our report or guide online at http://vivahealth.viva.org.uk/diabetes or call 0117 944 1000 to order a copy.
